A relaxing fun day using mainly recycled materials to create an original accessory!
No specialist skills needed to make this bag as it is woven around a sheet of strong cardboard and uses oddments of various materials from your stash!!- either from discarded garments or unwanted materials too good to throw away. Very eco-friendly!
Your unique bag can be woven in a day and completed with a plaited fabric handle or by purchasing a readymade one. Bags can be as wacky or as classic as you desire.
I will provide cardboard, string and a supply of various textiles but you may wish to bring along some of your own stash to personalise your bag.

I am a Canadian so am unable to attend your workshops; however, I did watch you on Youtube and followed the directions as best I could. I purchased some fabric at a Charity Shop and made a ‘rag bag’ yesterday. It was fun and gave me lots of ideas. However, not quite sure how to affix a handle or whether to cut off the ends of the tied fabric. And, any ideas of imbellishments for me? Thank you for sharing and wish I were closer to take a workshop.
